Governor of the province Khairullo Bozorov received a delegation consisting of representatives of Sunview Group, a Malaysian company specializing in renewable energy production.
At the meeting, issues related to the construction project of a 200 megawatt solar power plant planned to be built in Fergana district were discussed.
It is known that on July 18 of this year in Tashkent with the participation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sadir Japarov, the launch of large cooperation projects was launched, including this project.
The cost of the project planned to be built in our region is 150 mln. dollars, will be implemented by Sunview Group, a large Malaysian company specializing in the production of renewable energy, on the basis of direct investment on the basis of the PPP principle.
Currently, as a result of negotiations between the investor company and the Ministry of Energy, the implementation of this project and the tariff prices of the solar power plant have been agreed. A plot of land was selected from Fergana district for the project and presented to the investor for technical and economic study. It is planned to start the construction of the solar power station in the fourth quarter of this year.
At the meeting, the guests also provided information about the projects being carried out in cooperation with the head of the "Global Textile" group of companies, Muzaffar Razakov. They also promoted the initiative of installing solar panels in the homes of needy families on the basis of sponsorship. In addition, there was an exchange of views on prospective projects of cooperation between higher educational institutions of Malaysia and Ferghana. The proposal to open two regional offices in Malaysia and Ferghana was also put forward.
The governor of the region informed that they will cooperate with proposals and provide all-round assistance.
