The Governor of the Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, received representatives of Xinjiang Bai Yi Da Construction Investment Co., Ltd., a Chinese company operating in the construction and energy sectors.
During a previous meeting with these Chinese investors, presentations were made regarding investment projects planned for Fergana in the areas of construction, energy, heating, water supply, and heating systems. In today’s discussions, the focus was on launching new projects in the energy sector.
Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized that the energy sector in the region is rapidly developing and noted the increasing interest of foreign investors. He highlighted the Chinese investors’ support for a project aimed at copper processing and the production of copper cables, stating that the region has industrial zones with the necessary infrastructure to support such initiatives.
During the meeting, the Chinese business representatives expressed their interest in the region's investment potential and confirmed their readiness to cooperate across various sectors. They announced their intention to implement a major $40 million energy project in the initial phase, which would establish a facility for the production of copper cables. This project is expected to process 100,000 tons of copper annually, meet domestic demand, and enable the export of products. Additionally, it is projected to create 500 new jobs.
Governor Bozorov assured the investors that they would receive the necessary support to implement the project and offered suggestions on how to initiate the first stages.
An agreement was reached to establish joint cooperation on the projects.
