A regional celebration dedicated to October 1st, Teachers and Mentors Day, was held at the "Wine Garden" complex in Fergana City. The event brought together teachers and mentors from all districts and cities of the region, as well as faculty members of higher education institutions and esteemed labor veterans.

In his opening speech, the Governor of Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, sincerely congratulated the respected teachers and devoted education professionals on their professional holiday.

Highlighting President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s recent address with educators, Governor Bozorov emphasized that the conversation had elevated the educational sector to a new level, setting priorities across seven directions and presenting key initiatives and objectives. 

Governor Bozorov noted that fostering patriotism among the younger generation is a significant factor in achieving national progress and ambitious goals. He underscored the importance of nurturing patriotism within families, teaching children to cherish their homeland, and instilling a sense of ideological resilience. He also highlighted the need to provide comprehensive education in national history, develop digital content dedicated to family values for parents, teachers, and students, and position educators as key figures in promoting cultural and educational values in communities.

The Governor reiterated President Mirziyoyev’s message: “Education and upbringing are the sacred duties of the entire society. It is a matter of life and death that requires unity, proactivity, and dedication from us all. Let’s use enlightenment, knowledge, and virtue to stand against ignorance and evil!” He emphasized that this appeal should become the guiding principle in the daily lives of all citizens.

Governor Bozorov acknowledged the significant contributions of teachers and mentors to the ongoing development and success in the region's educational sector, expressing gratitude for their unwavering dedication and service.

During the event, numerous educators, mentors, and veteran teachers who have made outstanding contributions across various educational sectors in the region were awarded honorary certificates and commemorative gifts by the regional administration. 

In recognition of his efforts, the Governor of Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, was presented with the "Excellence in Higher Education" badge by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations.

The event concluded on a high note with performances by renowned artists of the region, featuring inspiring songs and beautiful dances that uplifted the spirits of everyone in attendance.
