The implementation of resource-efficient technologies is providing entrepreneurs with significant economic benefits and increased efficiency. This is clearly demonstrated by the hydroponic tomato cultivation project and the introduction of alternative energy-saving technologies by "Marrakesh Agro Plus" LLC in the Dangara district.
Fergana region’s Governor, Khayrullo Bozorov, visited the district to observe these advancements.
The company has established a greenhouse covering 8 hectares, where tomatoes are being cultivated and exported to international markets. The greenhouse is equipped with modern heating boilers imported from China and a 300 kW solar panel system.
The project, valued at $3 million, has reduced electricity and fuel consumption by two to three times. The installation of solar panels alone results in annual savings of approximately 330 million UZS on electricity costs. Previously, over 206 million UZS were spent monthly on natural gas, while the energy-efficient coal boiler now helps save 116 million UZS per month.
The regional governor reviewed the projects and issued directives to continue these initiatives, encouraging the widespread use of energy-saving technologies.
