The number of hotels in Fergana city has increased by one more. A new modern three-star hotel, built at the initiative of entrepreneur Akmaljon Turdimatov, was inaugurated on E’tiqod Street.
The opening ceremony of the hotel was attended by the Governor of the region Khayrullo Bozorov, heads of city sectors, veterans, and representatives of the general public.
In his opening speech, Governor Khayrullo Bozorov noted that the Head of State has been placing great emphasis on the development of the tourism sector, aiming to turn it into one of the leading drivers of the national economy. He emphasized that each region has been given specific instructions to promote this goal, and comprehensive measures are being implemented accordingly.
He highlighted that the flow of tourists to the Fergana region has been increasing year by year. While 360,000 foreign tourists visited the region in 2023, this year, even before the end of the year, the number has already reached 400,000. As the number of tourists rises, the demand for quality hotels and other infrastructure facilities has also increased, making it imperative to expand both the quantity and quality of hotels.
Furthermore, during the President's visit to the region this July, specific directives were given to increase the number of starred hotels in the cities of Fergana, Kokand, and Margilan. The governor noted that Fergana city has significant tourism potential, and it is essential to utilize it fully. He commended Akmaljon Turdimatov's efforts in this regard.
The “Saroy Gardens” hotel, with a capacity of 82 rooms, has a project cost of 25 billion soums, financed entirely by the entrepreneur's own funds. The launch of the hotel has created 30 new jobs.
The hotel features a parking area, gym, conference hall, restaurant, summer pool, and other amenities.
The participants of the ceremony familiarized themselves with the facilities of the new hotel. This hotel will not only provide convenience for local residents and foreign tourists but also contribute to the further development of tourism in our country, particularly in the region.
