During his visit to Kokand, the Governor of Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, inspected the construction works being carried out under the “New Neighborhoods of New Uzbekistan” Renovation Program. Following the instructions given during the President’s recent visit to the region, the “New Uzbekistan Residential Complex” project has been extended to encompass neighborhood-level development, with specific directives issued to initiate the construction of the first “Neighborhood Complex” in Kokand.
Currently, efforts are underway to execute these directives, focusing on the renovation of three outdated two-story residential buildings on Movarounnahr Street in the Gishtli Mosque neighborhood. These buildings are being replaced with three newly designed nine-story apartment complexes, comprising a total of 136 units, under the Renovation Program.
The construction is being led by ARTEON LLC, which is not only building the high-rise residential complexes but also planning to include additional amenities such as parking lots, children’s playgrounds, walkways, and green spaces. The Governor emphasized the importance of ensuring the high quality of construction works and creating necessary facilities for residents.
There are over 200 outdated two-story houses in Kokand, and under the Renovation Program, plans are underway to replace these with modern high-rise residential complexes. During the visit, Lazizkhon Fazilov, Head of the Regional Construction Department, presented new projects and proposals to be implemented as part of the Renovation Program, outlining the future vision and strategic plan for urban development in Kokand.
