In the city of Margilan, construction has begun on the “New Uzbekistan” residential complex, which will span 75 hectares and include 6,000 housing units. Currently, construction and installation work is being carried out on four 16-story and six 12-story buildings, with project designs for an additional four buildings under preparation.
Governor of Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, along with heads of regional sectors, visited the construction site and engaged with the builders.
The governor issued directives to ensure that the new residential buildings are constructed in accordance with modern urban planning standards, with high-quality materials, and that the ground floors are allocated for retail and service facilities.
The governor also inspected the construction of residential buildings in the Ipakchi neighborhood, which are being built under the Renovation Program. In this area, three 7-story buildings with a total of 240 apartments are being constructed to replace outdated housing units, and project designs for an additional four buildings are currently underway. These new apartments will be allocated primarily to local residents of the neighborhood.
