The Governor of Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, received the heads of two American companies, Silk Road Professionals and Pinnacle Teaching Solutions, to discuss potential collaboration on software development and English language instruction.
During the meeting, the Governor highlighted the initiatives being undertaken in the IT sector in Uzbekistan and the favorable conditions created in the region. He emphasized the establishment of an IT park and the growing interest among young people in developing software products. He also noted the use of new technologies in teaching foreign languages in educational institutions, and the ongoing collaboration with foreign countries in this area.
James Wagner, the head of Silk Road Professionals, provided insights into his company’s activities and announced plans to open a branch in Fergana. He also proposed collaborating with local developers to create software products for both domestic use and export.
Vestal Donald Gray, the head of Pinnacle Teaching Solutions, shared his extensive experience in teaching English and mentioned that his company has been working with Uzbekistan since 2020. He expressed interest in enhancing English language instruction in the region’s educational institutions by bringing in qualified English teachers. Additionally, he stressed the importance of teaching English to local software developers to better equip them for global collaboration.
The Governor expressed his support for their proposals and reaffirmed the region's readiness to cooperate in these initiatives.
