In all regions of our country, festive events are being held in celebration of October 21, the Day of the Uzbek Language.
This morning, a special event was organized near the monument of our great thinker and poet, the founder of the Uzbek literary language, Alisher Navoi, in the city of Fergana to commemorate the occasion.
The event was attended by the Governor of the region, Khayrullo Bozorov, leaders of the regional sectors and defense systems, heads of regional administrations and organizations, representatives of educational institutions and the public, as well as writers, poets, and young people.
In his congratulatory speech, the regional governor extended his greetings to all on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Uzbek language being granted the status of the state language, emphasizing that for our people, the Uzbek language is a symbol of our national identity and independent statehood, a priceless spiritual wealth, and a great value.
He also highlighted the important tasks currently facing society in preserving and promoting the Uzbek language, stressing the need to strengthen the role of the language in education, actively promote and popularize Uzbek in the digital space, and support and further develop cultural initiatives aimed at learning and popularizing the language.
During the event, poems praising the Uzbek language were recited, and wreaths were laid at the foot of the Alisher Navoi monument.
