Fergana–Germany Business Forum Held in Berlin The Fergana–Germany Business Forum was held in Berlin with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany. The event gathered over 100 participants, including business representatives from both Fergana and Germany. The forum was opened by H.E. Dilshod Akhatov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Federal Republic of Germany, who emphasized the forum’s significance in further strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries. Governor of Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov addressed the forum, noting that in recent years, relations between Uzbekistan and Germany have reached a new stage and elevated to the level of strategic partnership. He also underlined that Germany is one of Uzbekistan’s most important economic partners within the European Union. “Fergana Region is one of Uzbekistan’s largest regions in terms of economy and population. We possess strong potential in oil and gas, textile, food industry, agriculture, tourism, and especially in the IT sector. We offer land and labor resources, developed infrastructure, proximity to export markets, and a stable political environment — all of which represent major investment opportunities for you,” said the Governor. As part of the forum, Deputy Governor of Fergana Region Nuriddin Mamazhonov delivered a presentation highlighting Uzbekistan’s favorable business environment, including reforms to protect the rights and interests of entrepreneurs. The discussion also covered investment and industrial potential, available infrastructure, and state support mechanisms. During B2B meetings, participants discussed opportunities to expand bilateral trade and economic ties and explored promising projects in sectors such as industry, education, healthcare, agriculture, electrical engineering, and vocational training. The forum served as an important platform for deepening economic relations between Uzbekistan and Germany and for fostering mutual trade and joint investments.
