Regional governor met with representatives of the international rating agency Standard & Poor's
The Governor of Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, held a meeting with representatives of the international rating agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P Global Ratings).
During the discussions, the guests were informed about the economic and investment potential of the region. Noteworthy achievements across various sectors were highlighted, including robust foreign trade dynamics, a consistent year-on-year increase in the volume of foreign direct investment, the export of industrial and agricultural products, and the growth of enterprises with foreign capital participation in Fergana Region, fostered by a favorable investment climate.
The B+ rating reflects a region with a stable economic standing, financial solvency, and a healthy investment environment, signifying a positive international status.
Notably, S&P Global Ratings assigned a similar B+ credit rating to countries such as Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Jordan in 2023. Furthermore, for the years 2022-2023, Standard & Poor’s has evaluated Fergana Region’s long-term foreign and local currency credit rating as B+ with a “Stable” outlook.
