In the Gaznov mahalla of the Sokh District, General Education School No. 21—which underwent extensive renovation—has been officially inaugurated. The ceremony was attended by regional sector leaders, community representatives, local residents, and youth.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Governor of Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov discussed ongoing reforms in the country’s education sector and emphasized the pivotal role of knowledge and skills in an individual’s life.

“The continuous attention given to the Sokh District is clearly reflected in the construction of modern facilities and new structures like this one,” the Governor noted. “Together with the people of Sokh, who hold a deep appreciation for our homeland, we will remain united in contributing to our country’s development and progress.”

As part of the renovation efforts, the main school building—which accommodates 410 students—was comprehensively refurbished, and an additional classroom block for 240 students was constructed. Nearly four billion soums were allocated for these projects, ensuring that each classroom is equipped with all necessary amenities for effective learning.

During his visit, Governor Bozorov engaged with students already studying in the newly refurbished and comfortable classrooms, taking a keen interest in their aspirations and goals. Both students and teachers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the President for the dedicated attention and support being provided to the education sector.
