A major inauguration ceremony was held in the “Zarbdor” neighborhood of Fergana city to mark the launch of a new furniture manufacturing and storage facility — the only one of its kind in the Fergana Valley. The event was attended by Fergana Regional Governor Khayrullo Bozorov, officials from the regional and city administrations, entrepreneurs, and members of the public. The project, implemented by “Kedr” LLC, establishes a fully integrated production facility that encompasses all stages from raw wood processing to design and the manufacture of finished furniture products. With a total investment of 50 billion soums, the facility has an annual production capacity of 100,000 items and has created 200 new jobs. In his address, Governor Khayrullo Bozorov highlighted the comprehensive reforms initiated by the President of Uzbekistan aimed at supporting entrepreneurship, expanding employment opportunities, and diversifying income sources. He emphasized that when operations are organized based on scientific principles and innovative technologies, it is possible to achieve significant results. The Governor also underlined the importance of the newly established Furniture Manufacturers’ Association, noting that it plays a key role in producing competitive, high-quality products and promoting access to international markets. It was further noted that the launch of this new facility will serve as a catalyst for the creation of thousands of additional jobs through cooperative partnerships. During the event, the strategic objective of not only supplying the domestic market but also actively expanding into neighboring countries and global markets was emphasized. Following the symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, the guests toured the new facility and familiarized themselves with its operations.
