“New Uzbekistan” Residential Complex Under Construction in Kokand to Improve Urban Living Conditions

As part of the nationwide renovation program, the city of Kokand is witnessing the development of a modern residential district — “New Uzbekistan” — designed to provide comfortable living conditions for local residents. Governor of Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, visited Kokand today to inspect the ongoing construction works in the Movarounnahr, Khojand, and Istiqlol streets area, where the “New Uzbekistan” neighborhood is being established under the urban renewal initiative. The ambitious project envisions the construction of 83 residential buildings ranging from 10 to 16 stories. At present, construction has commenced on 56 of these buildings. In addition to housing, the district will feature a state-of-the-art showroom, business center, preschool institution, general education school, university campus, hotel, commercial and entertainment zones, multi-level parking facilities, a cultural heritage building, service infrastructure, and a fueling station — all designed to meet the needs of a growing urban population. Governor Bozorov, during a meeting with project officials and construction teams, reviewed the progress of the construction activities. Clear directives were issued to expedite the pace of construction, ensure high-quality execution, and improve engineering and communication infrastructure.
