The Fergana Region delegation visited the Thuringian Institute of Textile and Plastics Research – TITK Group, located in the city of Rudolstadt, Germany. This institute specializes in scientific research, innovation, and industrial solutions in the field of textiles and plastics. TITK Group focuses on the development of eco-friendly, efficient, and innovative materials, strengthening cooperation between science and industry, and enhancing research capacity while training young specialists. The institute has developed numerous innovative projects and solutions. One notable example is the “Triple-Recycled” sound-absorbing fabric, made from cellulose fibers derived from production waste. This fabric is created from fibers that have been recycled three times. In addition, TITK is developing a modern pilot-scale “Digester” reactor, designed to extract cellulose from agricultural waste and facilitate textile recycling. The visit began with a presentation of the institute’s activities and current projects. During the meeting, Governor Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized the importance of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with TITK, particularly to introduce advanced innovations into Fergana’s textile enterprises. An agreement was reached to implement joint projects in the future.
