Fergana Region Promotes Productive Use of Land Along Canals to Boost Employment and Agriculture

In Fergana Region, targeted efforts are underway to utilize vacant land along canals and drainage systems more efficiently to increase agricultural output, generate employment, and develop fish and duck farming. Governor Khayrullo Bozorov visited Qushtepa district to assess progress in these areas. Over 200 local residents have been allocated plots of land along canals and drainage channels. These lands are being developed into vineyards and diversified agricultural initiatives. The regional leader instructed responsible officials to accelerate the implementation of such projects, introduce forward-looking initiatives, and create sustainable income opportunities for the population through these land-use strategies.
