Fergana to Implement Smart Technology-Based System for Water Management in Agriculture Governor of Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov received representatives of Shandong Oubiao Information Technology Co., Ltd from China. During the meeting, the parties discussed a project aimed at introducing smart technologies for water resource management in agriculture, in line with agreements reached during the regional delegation’s visit to China in April this year. The discussions focused on the digital management of water resources, the production and application of innovative technologies and modern fertilizers for agriculture, and the implementation of such systems in practice. In particular, the project envisions the establishment of a comprehensive system—from the production of necessary equipment to the efficient and targeted distribution of water—supported by scientific approaches and involving China’s leading companies with relevant expertise. Governor Bozorov emphasized that this project is of great importance for ensuring efficient water use and achieving higher productivity in agriculture. He stressed the need to accelerate implementation efforts and expressed full support for the proposed initiatives. At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed on concrete measures for the project's implementation.
