The Governor of Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, received a delegation led by Mr. Zhang Lisheng, Chairman of the Board of China’s “Jinyimeng Group”. The meeting focused on prospects for bilateral cooperation. The Governor emphasized that relations between Uzbekistan and China are consistently developing and entering a new phase. He spoke about the mutually beneficial projects currently being implemented in Fergana in various sectors with Chinese companies. The importance of attracting foreign investment and modern technologies into the chemical industry was highlighted. It was noted that there are ample opportunities to implement investment projects in the fields of chemistry and pharmaceuticals. Mr. Zhang Lisheng highly praised Uzbekistan’s favorable investment climate and expressed strong interest in cooperating across several areas, based on the company’s capabilities. The Governor expressed readiness to support the proposals put forward by the investors. During the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to implement new projects in Fergana based on concrete proposals and the advanced experience of the Chinese company. Jinyimeng Group is a large, multi-sector industrial group specializing in organic and inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, rare chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. The company also operates in the production of high-quality fertilizers and centralized heating supply. The meeting was also attended by Rasuljon Juraev, the Hokim of Besharik district.
