South Korea’s AHA Co., Ltd. to Launch a New Project in Fergana

As a result of the visit by the Fergana regional delegation led by Governor Khayrullo Bozorov to the Republic of Korea in November last year, agreements were reached with AHA Co., Ltd., a leading Korean technology company. These agreements have now entered the implementation phase, with a new, forward-looking investment project planned in the region. Today, Governor Khayrullo Bozorov met with the company’s CEO, Mr. Koo Gi Don, to discuss the prospects of establishing the production of smart boards and other advanced technologies for the education sector in Fergana. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Park Jun Ho, Rector of Korea International University. During the dialogue, it was emphasized that Uzbekistan, particularly the Fergana region, is creating favorable conditions for investors, and that the region’s strong investment potential is playing a key role in attracting international partners. In light of the growing demand for digitalization and innovation in education and healthcare, the experience of AHA Co., Ltd., which has been operating since 1995 and is headquartered in Gimpo, South Korea, was highly appreciated. The company successfully operates subsidiaries in Japan, Germany, Kazakhstan, and the United States. AHA Co., Ltd. specializes in producing smart boards and interactive touch displays for education and healthcare institutions, as well as face-recognition thermometers, air sterilizers, and electric vehicle charging devices—all integrating advanced artificial intelligence technologies. The two sides discussed the proposal to implement a similar high-tech investment project in Fergana. Governor Khayrullo Bozorov expressed full support for the initiative and confirmed the region’s readiness to engage in mutually beneficial cooperation based on Korean best practices. Dr. Park Jun Ho also proposed to send 100 students from Fergana to Halla University in South Korea under a fully funded 2+2 scholarship program, aimed at training specialists for the new enterprise. Governor Bozorov welcomed the initiative and expressed interest in expanding cooperation in the education sector. The meeting was also attended by Nuriddin Mamajonov, Deputy Governor of Fergana region.
